Question-2 -
Does Software Testing Experience help in SAP Implementation ?
My understanding of most SAP implementation
strategies is minimal customization as much as
possible.
Most implementers would ensure that the earlier
pre-defined business process templates
and corresponding objects - code, tables, etc
are used as much as possible in any new
ERP implementation.
If that is the case, then it would logically mean
minimal new ABAP coding and corresponding
testing. There are also newer development
paradigms which ensure that coding and testing is
done by pairs of individuals doing both the roles.
Also, most software testers have testing backgrounds
on MS-WINDOWS platforms and tools.
I am not sure as to how easily that translates
into the SAP ABAP Development WorkBench
Environment.
