The Indian Government admits that FBT is a Trauma !

A couple of months back, I wrote about FBT (Fringe Benefit Tax) being such a pain for organizations.

Today, I came across the Indian Government's admission that FBT has become a Trauma !

Both for the Tax Payer and the Government.

If the Government could think through their tax laws properly in terms of their execution and overall impact, life would be much easier both for individuals and organizations in India.

Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's message to India's Family Managed Businesses.

At a CII meeting in Mumbai two weeks ago, I asked Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's one of India's most respected spiritual leaders; on his message for India's family managed businesses.

He replied that in most family managed businesses, communication was a big problem. Issues were normally created by outsiders within the business between the family members. So, continous transparent communication between family members in the business was a must.

He also said that the concept of 'family' had to be broadened and had to include other non-family related employees of the organization.

When most Indian family managed businesses are witnessing massive changes due to the Globalization and the Internet, Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's message makes a lot of sense.
